PH regulators are used to reduce or increase the pH in nutrient solutions.
The pH affects the absorption of nutrients, it is therefore recommended that you keep the pH in nutrient solutions between 5.4 and 6.0 as the nutrients are best absorbed within this range.
Citric acid is a biological acid that, when dissolved in water, has no EC value; citric acid is used, among other things, to rinse old fertiliser out of the substrate between harvests. Citric acid is also responsible for the use of ADP and ATP carriers in the plant.
ATP and ADP (adenosine triphosphate and diphosphate) are energy carriers and transport the energy in the plant.
